Hello, and welcome to my blog! What can I tell you about myself? For starters, my name is Lydia, and I live in the Mid-West United States. I live in a cabin with my fiance, Lucas, my four cats: Special Agent Nelson, Shikari, Tanner, and Dark Tides, and our rescue dog Rocky. I love reading and writing, of course!, and have started this blog to keep the creative juices flowing. I also want to share what’s going on in my life, and my thoughts/views/feelings on the world around me. I’ve played the bass guitar for a little over three years now, and am in a band with my fiance and his dad called Lunar Tides. I know there’s a million other things I could tell you about myself, but why don’t you stick around and I’ll let you in through all my posts? Thank you for being you, and being here, and letting me share my life with you! Comment down below so I can get to know you too! 🙂
You’ve been chosen!

Hey there! So nice to meet you. Thanks for visiting my blog! My name is Sharece, and I live in PA. I am still getting the hang of this whole blogging thing. I love meeting new people, and being able to read these amazing posts! I agree with everyone…life in the cabin sounds pretty amazing. I normally take an extended weekend cabin trip with friends, and that is one of the best experiences!

It’s nice to meet you, Sharece! I enjoyed reading the posts of yours I did; I agree that blogging is such a fun thing to do! I’m still fairly new to it, and I love finding new bloggers! 🙂 That sounds like fun to have an extended cabin trip; probably even more peaceful when you don’t live there 24/7, but it is pretty fantastic!! 😀 Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Hello, Lynn!! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. 🙂 Your life sounds extremely interesting too! I love jazz, that’s so awesome you used to be a jazz singer! Do you still sing sometimes, just for you? Cooking is wonderful too! The cabin can be a bit small in space for large cooking, but my boyfriend Lucas does most of it and he’s phenomenal! I’m going to go check out your blog too; I hope you stick around and enjoy! 😀

I am fascinated about your life in a cabin. I hail from Illinois originally and moved to California 36 years ago. In what general region are you living? Guitar music, I love it.

That’s awesome! I’m in Missouri now, originally from Iowa. It’s more of a cabin now (it’s made from a carport and lots of hard work done by my boyfriend’s dad-all by himself!) and we’ve been doing work to it; when we moved down it didn’t even have running water to it! It’s been a lot of fun; I’ll have to write a post about it one of these days with some pictures. It’s pretty neat. Thank you for the interest! 🙂

Looking forward to the post. I have a friend in Dearborn, Missouri, and another who came from Mark Twain country.

That’s awesome. I’ve never been to Dearborn, but it looks like it’s just a ways north of where I am! That’s pretty neat, it’s really a small world. 🙂

Agreed, what’s it like living in a cabin?

It’s pretty awesome actually! We now have running water, a working shower, and internet! We still have a lot of plans for it to be finished completely, but it’s coming along really well. We’re only about a mile from town but in the ‘country’ so we’re surrounded by trees and you can’t see us from the road which is awesome. (I love the seclusion!) The space is similar to a studio apartment; our ‘living room’ and ‘bedroom’ are together and there’s a bar separating the kitchen but it’s all wide open. There’s a bathroom that’s closed off with the shower and stuff in there too, and we built a utility room onto it. I’m thinking maybe I’ll do a mini series of posts about the cabin and all the projects we’ve done/are doing to it.?

Wow, cabin life sounds really great. I’ve only been to a cabin once, but it’s so peaceful. Yes, posts about your works in progress would be fun, you are very handy.

It is! It’s really peaceful in the morning when the birds are just waking up and the sun’s starting to peek out. Awesome, I think I’ll try to start doing that, thank you for the interest to make me even think of it! 🙂

Lydia -I’ll be sticking around until and even after that first book of yours is published. Any help I can be, just ask. Also, I have been taking guitar lessons (I hate that stupid F Chord!) and playing with a ukulele group. Music to calm the soul. I’ll be catching that Youtube page tonight. Clare

Wow, thank you so very much!! I really appreciate the kindness and you watching the videos! 🙂 Thank you for being there for my journey, and I will most likely have some questions for you along the way!! 🙂 haha, I completely agree. It is calming and definitely worth the struggles though. I hope you enjoy it, and maybe get some videos/pics with your ukulele group! I’d love to see and hear it.
